Economic Value for Bicycle
The Economic Value for Bicycle (VEB) tool, under development, aims to reveal the economic value associated with the existence or promotion of bicycle use in the Portuguese economy.
Several impacts have been associated with the use of the bicycle: bicycle can change the cities life and behavior patterns and reflect gains in terms of private and social well-being.
The VEB tool provides a set of self-assessment indicators for bicycle impacts at the local level, considering the environmental, energy and health dimensions, among others.
